Former CNN talk show host Larry King has been hospitalized with the Coronavirus for more than a week, according to TODAY.com.
Citing an unidentified person close to the family, TODAY said the 87-year-old is undergoing treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being removed from its intensive care unit.
Current COVID-19 restrictions have kept King’s family members from visiting him while hospitalized.
The legendary broadcaster was one of the nation’s most prominent interviewers of celebrities, presidents and other newsmakers during a career that spanned 25 years at CNN.
King has had several medical issues in recent years, including heart attacks and complications with diabetes and lung cancer.
During the summer of 2020, King lost two of his five children within weeks of each other. His son Andy died of a heart attack at 65 in August, and his daughter Chaia died from lung cancer at 51 in July.
